We appreciated
the morning sunshine!
Joel, Jim,
Karen and Keith boarding the MS Dixie for a 2.5 hour cruise to
Emerald Bay and back to Zephyr Cove
Karen found
some nachos aboard the MS Dixie paddlewheeler.
We sailed
past Vikingsholm, a 38-room Scandinavian-style mansion completed
in 1929.
Dinner out
across the street at the historic Zephyr Cove Cafe.
Jim (KT6W),
Keith (KO6PIO) and Joel (AK6ON) set up a POTA (Parks on the Air)
amateur radio station and worked 18 contacts from Central Oregon
to Las Vegas and San Diego on "40 meters" (7.210 mHz).
We rode the
Tahoe East Shore Trail between Incline Village and Sand Harbor
State Park, sometimes called "America's most beautiful bikeway".
